Botswana Butchery Auckland is part of Good Group Hospitality, which is an established and expanding hospitality company with venues located in Auckland and Queenstown.

With an emphasis on fun, innovative dining, Botswana Butchery's diverse menu is all about flavours and has a strong focus on fine-cut meats and locally sourced foods. Celebrating its 13th year in Auckland, the restaurant has become a well-known and well-loved institution, boasting of its grand waterfront location and decadent fit-out.

We are a premium fun-dining restaurant looking for an Duty Manager to join our high-performing team. We are looking for a charismatic, energetic, and friendly but professional person who can manage both service and staff, pass on their knowledge, and have fun while they are doing it

This is a challenging and rewarding role and an exciting opportunity to become part of a leading hospitality group as it ramps up in New Zealand and to be an integral part of one of the most talked about restaurants in town.

Must have LCQ and manager certification. We offer competitive wages and tips, as well as plenty of room for growth and development within the company. 

In this role, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager, Venue Manager and Head Chef to ensure the integration of an engaging experience for our patrons. You will have previous experience in a similar high-end restaurant environment, be knowledgeable about your craft and be passionate about delivering something truly memorable.  

Role Specification:

  • Demonstrated experience for at least 1 year in a similar environment
  • Must have current LCQ/Managers Certificate
  • Superior food & beverage knowledge
  • Highly skilled in time management and suggestive selling
  • High level of personal presentation and high standards
  • Basic business math and good oral and written skills, and a confident communicator
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills, cope well under pressure
  • Strong analytical/decision-making skills, sense of urgency
  • Understanding of the 24/7 nature of the hospitality operations environment, working evenings, weekends and public holidays is required

This is a full time role with a minimum of 30 hours and maximum of 55 hours. Rates between $29-$32 depending on experience.
