Dunedin Central, New Zealand Pact Group Full time
About Pact

Pact is a leading provider of community, vocational, and residential services for people with intellectual disabilities, mental health challenges, and addictions, and vulnerable youth. We're passionate about empowering people to lead fulfilling lives in the community.

Our head office team works smart, builds strong relationships, and drives positive change for our staff, empowering them to provide excellent support to our clients.

About the Role

We're looking for an analytical thinker with strong technical skills to join our team as a Business Systems Analyst, reporting to our General Manager of Strategic Initiatives. This is a hands-on role where you'll be at the heart of how Pact uses data and information to make better decisions and deliver better outcomes.

You'll be the person who keeps our data systems running smoothly, transforms raw data into meaningful insights, ensures we meet our funder obligations, and helps us work smarter through improved processes and documentation. From maintaining critical databases and producing reports for senior management, to developing funding proposals and training staff across the organisation, you'll have genuine variety and impact in your work.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing data and documents - keeping our databases current and implementing robust document control processes
  • Contract and operational reporting - ensuring we meet all funder requirements and providing the reports managers need to make good decisions
  • Improving how we work - documenting processes, creating workflows, and finding smarter ways to do things
  • Growing our funding base - contributing to proposals and tenders for new services
  • Building capability - training and supporting staff to use our systems effectively and improve data quality
  • Providing insights - analysing trends and turning data into actionable intelligence
About You

You're someone who loves working with data and systems, but you're equally comfortable explaining complex information in plain language to people who aren't technical experts. You can see the big picture while staying on top of the details, and you thrive on making things work better.

You will have:

  • A tertiary qualification
  • The ability to design and maintain reports, dashboards and KPIs
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • A problem-solving mind-set and initiative to identify improvements

It will help to also have:

  • Skills and experience in data analysis, business intelligence and data visualisation
  • An understanding of the NGO/community sector

Most importantly, you'll be someone who's motivated by meaningful work and wants to contribute to an organisation that genuinely makes a difference in people's lives.

What We Offer
  • Meaningful work - everything you do supports our mission to help people lead fulfilling lives
  • Variety - no two days are the same, with diverse projects and stakeholders across the organisation
  • Professional development - opportunities to grow your skills and contribute to important initiatives
  • Supportive team - work closely with our General Manager of Strategic Initiatives, senior leaders, and passionate colleagues
Ready to Apply?

If you're excited about using your analytical and technical skills to support people and communities, we'd love to hear from you.
