We're looking for a Strategic Communications Principal Advisor who can operate at a senior level, partner with executives, and tackle complex challenges with confidence—while staying hands-on. This role is perfect for someone who combines strategic thinking with exceptional writing, planning, and relationship management skills.

  • Provide high-level strategic communications advice on complex projects and reputational challenges.
  • Work closely with senior leaders and executives to develop targeted communication strategies.
  • Craft clear, compelling narratives and key messages that simplify complexity for diverse audiences.
  • Plan and deliver longer-term, strategic projects, including public consultation programmes.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships across business units and external stakeholders.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, ensuring proactive and effective communication responses.
  • Contribute to the broader communications strategy as a trusted advisor and team player.

  • Tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, or related discipline.
  • 7+ years' experience in senior communications roles, ideally in complex environments.
  • Proven ability to work successfully in project structures and build trusted relationships with senior leaders.
  • Strong writing and planning skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear messaging.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and collaborative, with excellent influencing skills.
  • Comfortable working at pace and remaining calm under pressure.
