The role
Based in New Plymouth, you will be responsible for fire protection and other compliance systems testing on customer premises ensuring compliance with Chubb and NZ Regulatory standards
This Will Involve
- Liaising with customers on testing schedules, providing assistance if needed for owners inspections
- Carry out inspections on fire alarms, fire sprinklers, emergency lighting systems and many other passive systems
- Identifying defects, service requirements and, where applicable, provide sufficient detail for quotations to be produced
- Completion of other tasks as required from time to time
To be successful
Experience in the Fire industry is preferred but at a minimum you will have a technical mindset and a strong focus on providing high quality customer service. You will also need to be organised, able to plan your workload and demonstrate initiative where needed to get the work done in a timely manner.
You Will
- Be legally able to work in New Zealand
- Demonstrate efficiency through prior time and route planning
- Have the ability to prepare written reports with clear well detailed information
- Be a proactive member of the team
- Maintain up to date knowledge and awareness of NZ Regulatory Industry Standards
- NZQA New Zealand Certificate in Fire Protection Systems Technology (Testing) Level 3 or similar (or the ability to obtain one)
- Hold a current Drivers License
- The ability to work away from home when required (3-4 days a month)
- Using FieldService our mobile phone application to plan and organize your schedule and manage your work orders to completion
