With a head office based in Auckland, this company has adapted very flexible working policy where they are happy for this role to be fully remote based anywhere in New Zealand. 

They specialise in HR technology and partner with some of New Zealand's biggest companies. 

A little bit about the role:Working in a team of approx. 10, you will be responsible for writing and reviewing epic code

  • Design and build integrations between our platform with third party vendors and customer systems.
  • Develop and maintain backend services in Java (Spring Boot).
  • Build clean, reusable UI components and workflows in React.
  • Deploy and operate services on AWS, using modern cloud-native tooling.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer teams to deliver stable, high quality integration outcomes.

Who are you and what is your profile:

You will have experience working with Java in a complex environment. You will have excellent communication skills and will be a "people person", always looking for ways to problem solve. 

  • Strong experience with Java/Spring Boot.
  • Solid front-end engineering skills with React.
  • Confidence working with relational databases (MariaDB).
  • Hands on cloud experience - ideally AWS.
  • Ability to own integration projects end-to-end: requirements, implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Comfortable working in a fast moving SaaS environment with lots of parallel integrations work.
