About the Role:

We are looking for dedicated and experienced Fast Food Cooks to join our team. The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of quick-service meals while maintaining consistency, quality, and food safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

This is a permanent, full-time role with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours a week work. Availability to do extra work. We have two vacancies to fill.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and assemble a variety of fast-food items according to company recipes and presentation standards.
  • Operate kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, ovens, and microwaves safely and efficiently while ensuring proper temperature control.
  • Prepare, portion, and store ingredients, sauces, and condiments to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
  • Monitor cooking times, portion sizes, and food presentation to maintain product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Receive, check, and store deliveries of ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation and storage practices.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas, including preparation benches, equipment, and utensils.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety policies, including temperature checks and cleaning schedules.
  • Assist in managing waste reduction, stock control, and reporting any shortages or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
  • Support team members during busy periods and ensure smooth kitchen operations throughout all shifts.

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 6 months of more of previous experience in a fast-food or quick-service kitchen is strongly preferred.
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene, safe food-handling, and health and safety practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy during busy service times.
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with good communication skills.
  • Able to work on a rostered basis, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
