Raico Transport Limited is a small company contracted with FMCG brands.

We are looking for class 5 truck drivers for linehaul and metro work.

Work start time anytime from midnight/1am from Monday to Saturday. Please do not apply if you cannot commit to the start time of the work. Start time is non-negotiable for the job requirement.

We are looking for someone physically fit as this job requires someone to use a pallet jack for delivery. If you are scared of this type of work, do not apply. All of the work is based around food and food-related products.

We use EROAD in our units and do not compromise with the overspeed or poor driving practices. Having a great work ethic and exceptional communication skills is also an integral part of the work requirement.

To be successful for this position you must be able to pass drug tests, have clean criminal records and pre-employment checks.

Job responsibilities:

·      Have a minimum 1 years of class 5 truck driver experience.

·      Have a DG & Forklift license.

·      Perform the loading and unloading activities.

·      Manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading

·      Loading and unloading vehicles using lifting and tipping devices

·      Plan routes and meet delivery schedules

·      Observing safety requirements when loading and unloading vehicles

·      Making regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely

·      Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight

·      Ensuring goods are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss and damage

·      Verifying loading documents, checking condition of goods and obtaining certification of deliveries

·      Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance

·      Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent during driving and retain fuel/till receipts

·      Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route destinations, parking, break period etc) as well as comply with company policies and procedures.

·      Report and defects, accidents or violations during delivery, driving or to the company vehicle and provide the detailed accident/maintenance log

·      Communicate with dispatchers and clients for efficient coordination

This is a full time job. Must be available to start immediately and weekend availability is must for the job. Remuneration depends on the work experience.
