About Us:

Huakina Development Trust is a Kaupapa Māori driven Health and Social Service organisation based in Pukekohe.  We provide a range of services throughout the Counties Manukau region.

Huakina Wellness Health Centre is a small General Practice providing an extensive range of Primary Care – face to face and virtual appointments to our community.

Location:

Our Clinic is based in Pukekohe, Franklin with satellite pods and Whare Oranga at 7 Marae within Te Pūaha ki Manuka.  With the planning of the Southern Corridor (Auckland to Hamilton) it is the fastest growing region in Tamaki.

The beautiful Waikato River and West Coast Beaches provide an awesome backdrop to those who have an active lifestyle and for those that want to relax and enjoy a semi-rural township and still be part of a city.

We have the 3 G's - Good shops, Genuine people and Great Regional Parks.

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent full time Healthcare Assistant to join our team based in our Huakina Wellness Medical Centre with a focus on delivering clinical excellence.  If considering this position, the successful applicant will need to be:

  • Articulate, professional and have an empathetic style of communication.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and works well independently within a team environment.

Ideally someone who thinks outside the square, enjoy challenges and pursues them with initiative and most importantly needs to be a Team Player

About the role:

  • Consulting with patients across a wide range of Primary Care.
  • Excellent triage skills.
  • Medtech Evolution experience or similar
  • Administrative follow up paperwork
  • A competitive remuneration will be offered to the successful candidate. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
  • This position is for 40 hours per week.   Hourly rate will be based on experience and discussed during the interview.

Requisites:

  1. Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a medical or healthcare environment
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
  4. A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine commitment to patient wellbeing
  5. The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  6. Must be a NZ citizen or NZ resident or hold a valid work visa
  7. We are open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
