About the role

This senior position is ideal for a technically capable engineer who's ready to take on more responsibility in business development, client relationships, project delivery, and team leadership. You'll work closely with the directors to deliver key projects while helping shape strategy, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to future expansion plans.

Role duties

  • Manage design and delivery of structural projects across commercial and institutional sectors
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify new opportunities
  • Oversee and mentor engineers and graduates within the team
  • Collaborate with internal disciplines and external partners to ensure project success
  • Contribute to business planning, proposals and future growth initiatives

Experience required

  • CPEng with a strong background in NZ structural design
  • 8+ years' experience in building structures, ideally including commercial and seismic work
  • Proven ability to manage projects from concept to completion
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills
  • Interest in business development or leadership responsibility
