At Trevelyan's, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for an organised, relationship-focused Packaging Manager who can expertly coordinate all aspects of packaging supply on site. Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

As our Packaging Manager, you'll oversee the full lifecycle of packaging supply - from forecasting and supplier management to inventory control, quality, compliance, and sustainability initiatives. You'll work closely with internal teams, contractors, and exporters to ensure we have the right packaging, at the right time, to keep our operations running smoothly.

Your mahi will include:

  • Managing short- and long-term packaging forecasting

  • Building strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and exporters

  • Ensuring DIFOTIS performance requirements are met

  • Overseeing stock levels, stock-takes, and phasing in/out of packaging designs

  • Leading packaging trials and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Enhance and drive continuous improvement practices

  • Ensuring packaging quality meets exporter and cool-chain standards

  • Contributing to site-wide sustainability and zero-waste objectives

You're detail-driven, proactive, and confident navigating both people and processes. You build strong working relationships and can communicate clearly with suppliers, internal teams, and exporters. You stay calm under pressure, think critically, and naturally look for smarter, more efficient ways of working.

You'll bring:

  • Strong coordination and organisational skills

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment

  • Experience with inventory, supply chain, or contractor management (desirable)

  • A continuous improvement mindset, ideally with exposure to Lean principles

  • A commitment to quality, Health & Safety, and sustainability
