Retail Indoor Plants Assistant

Hari Krushna Limited is a reputable retail business specialising in premium-quality indoor plants. Based in Auckland, the company is dedicated to providing customers with high-quality products and expert guidance to help them create vibrant and fulfilling indoor environments.
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Indoor Plants Assistant to join our team in the Auckland. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, a genuine interest in plants and retail operations, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determining customer requirements and advising on which plant(s) they can purchase.
- Implement best practices to increase sales and profitability.
- Preparing sales invoices and accepting payment for goods and services by a variety of payment methods
- Maintain allotment, tagging and ensure the products are placed in the right place with appropriate labels.
- Performing regular price checks to find any differentiations and fix it accordingly.
- Taking care of customer issues in a professional way and offering relevant redressals.
- Keeping up-to-date on everything in the store so they can give advice and suggestions when required
- Deliver purchased plants and related products to customers, ensuring safe handling, transportation, and timely delivery.
- Visit client sites such as corporate offices, retirement villages, and commercial premises to carry out regular plant maintenance, including watering, pruning, cleaning, and replacing plants as required.
- Maintain service records for off-site visits and report any plant health or supply issues to the store manager.
- Tracking inventory system and order the plants from various nursery
- Grooming and spraying the plants with insecticides and fungicides if required
- Restocking shelves, watering plants, and arranging displays to keep the store looking presentable.
- Assist with other related duties as required to support day-to-day store operations.
The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $24 and $30 per hour.
Other Requirements:
- Relevant work experience is preferred but not mandatory as we provide full training.
- Available to work on weekends.
- Valid clean driver's license.
- Strong attention to detail and sales-focused approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- A motivated and customer-focused approach is necessary for success.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour
