About the role:
As Project Manager in our Major Projects team, you'll ensure the technical integrity and successful delivery of large-scale electrical projects. Reporting to the Project Director, you'll manage project scope, schedule, budget, and compliance, while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and driving service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage projects in line with MainPower's project management methodology and plans Oversee resources, contractors, and subcontractors to meet health, safety, quality, cost, and programme requirements Identify and mitigate project risks; resolve engineering challenges Prepare and present progress reports, risk analyses, and documentation Support construction teams and ensure compliance with design and safety standardsAbout you:
You're a proactive, energetic, and credible project leader with a strong electrical background. You thrive in complex environments, communicate clearly, and build effective relationships across teams and with external partners.
Additionally, you will bring:
Extensive project management expertise within the energy sectorIn-depth knowledge of substations and sub-transmission lines (33kV and above) Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical) or trade qualification with proven project management experience PMP certification or equivalent (desirable) Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project Proven ability to lead health and safety across the project lifecycleMainPower requires all successful applicants to complete a pre-employment drug test.
