Mō tēnei mahi | About this job
We are seeking a Kaiako to deliver our Kāwai Raupapa Weaving (Raranga) Level 4 programme, which involves but is not limited to: developing lesson plans, presenting material to tauira (students), responding to tauira learning needs, and evaluating tauira progress.
You will be responsible for recruiting and inducting tauira, implementing effective teaching and assessment strategies, monitoring academic progress, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with TWoA and NZQA requirements. Creating a collaborative, inclusive and culturally grounded learning environment will be essential to the success of this role.
This is a Permanent Full-time position, based out of thePapaiōea campus. Some flexibility will be required to work some weekends and evenings.
Mōu | About you
You will have sound knowledge and teaching experience within the Weaving (Raranga) field to deliver our Kāwai Raupapa Programme. You will need to have the ability to facilitate application of principle and theory into contextualised practice, apply tikanga Māori appropriate to Weaving (Raranga) and be a critical, conceptual and self-reflective practitioner.
