We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Communications Officer to join our small but mighty team. This is a 13-month fixed-term position offered under the Parental Leave and Employment Protection Act 1987. The role is based at the Hāwera Administration Building and reports to the Head of Communications and Customer Service.

About the Role - You'll be at the heart of our mission to connect with our community, driving engaging communication and digital strategies that make a difference. The Communications Officer provides a wide range of communication services, advice, and support, with specific focus in the digital/social media space. In this role, amongst other things, you'll craft compelling content that informs and inspires, assist in managing our social media and digital channels, help shape our website and online presence and bring ideas to life through design, photography and video.
About You - We are looking for someone with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, knows their way around social media and digital campaigns and can juggle multiple priorities and deliver quality results on time. You are a team player with plenty of initiative, can build strong relationships and bring a positive, can-do attitude and ideally has 2+ years' experience in a communications (or similar) role and skills in design tools like Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Canva.
