St Pierres Sushi and Bento, the largest sushi chain in New Zealand, is currently looking for staff with experience in rolling sushi

Guided by our "People First" philosophy, we use our unique staff development system to support a long-term career path leading to Shift Supervisor, Assistant Manager, and Manager positions.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Experience in rolling sushi, either in Japan or overseas, and have worked at a sushi restaurant or Japanese food restaurant, involved in the making and sales of "sushi" abroad.
  • Able to commit to long-term employment of 6 months or more.
  • Able to communicate with customers and staff brightly and energetically.
  • Since a significant amount of work will be in the kitchen, you must be comfortable with light physical work, such as lifting items weighing around 10kg

Our team members are multinational, so you can enjoy working while interacting with people from various countries . As our customers are mainly local residents, a conversational level of English (intermediate level) is required for customer service.

The job duties are varied and include:

  • Customer service using English.
  • Kitchen tasks such as cooking rice and cutting vegetables.
  • Making of St Pierres Sushi and Bento's core products, such as rolled sushi, Chicken on Rice, Donburi (rice bowls), Ramen, and Udon.
  • Cleaning duties.
