Refrigeration Engineer

About the role

Power Chill (NZ) Ltd is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join our team in Te Awamutu, Waikato. This full-time position is a unique opportunity to work with a leading provider of air conditioning and refrigeration services in New Zealand.

What you'll be doing

• Primarily this is a service role to undertake the maintenance and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Particular focus on farm refrigeration, small commercial refrigeration and small to medium sized commercial HVAC systems.
• Diagnosis and troubleshoot equipment faults to resolve issues efficiently
• Complete relevant record keeping and documentation
• Communicating with customers on matters relating to their work, ensuring they are kept up to date about process and expected outcomes
• Work with the wider team to ensure the smooth operation of projects and completion of jobs.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in Refrigeration Engineering with EST Electrical Registration
• Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience as a Refrigeration Engineer
• Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems
• Proven problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Exceptional customer service orientation and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to safety and a high standard of work
• Full driver's licence
