The Faculty of Dentistry - Te Kaupeka Pūniho - has an international reputation for clinical and research excellence. Founded in 1907, it is New Zealand's National Centre for Dentistry. It forms an integral part of the Division of Health Sciences within the University of Otago, in Dunedin.

**_The role/Te mahi_**

We have an opportunity available for two Sterilising Assistants to join our team. As a Sterilising Assistant, you will assist in the cleaning and sterilising of instruments for patient clinics in the Dental School’s Clinical Services Building and Te Kaika in South Dunedin.

**_Skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako_**
- Previous experience in a sterilising unit preferred.
- Be well organised.
- Able to work individually and as part of a team.
- Excellent people and communication skills.
- Proficient in the Microsoft suite of programmes with well-developed keyboard skills.

If you do not have a sterilising qualification, but are motivated to learn, we will support you to undertake study to achieve a New Zealand Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 4).

We have full-time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time (25 hours per week) permanent positions available. These can also be either full-year or semester time only roles. Please state your preference in your cover letter.
