We're searching for a **predator control mastermind** who can: - Orchestrate ground-breaking pest elimination strategies - Hit the ground running - Transform complex conservation challenges into actionable plans - Be the tactical leader that makes "Predator Free New Zealand" more than just a dream **Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experience** We need a conservation champion who brings: - Proven expertise in complex conservation programme planning and delivery including Animal Pest Control Planning training - Extensive biodiversity field experience, Strong contract management skills Technical skills in understanding and communicating ecological strategies - Proven track record of protecting threatened species through targeted pest control - Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across DOC teams, iwi, and local partners - Competent working in the bush (navigation, GPS use, experience travelling off-track) - A tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience and achievements, in conservation/ecology/biology - Full New Zealand Driver's Licence - Emotional intelligence and relationship-building capabilities **Mo te tima | About the team** Join our team at the Department of Conservation in the Maniapoto District, where adventure and conservation meet.
