We are looking for an experienced pharmacist with a passion and enthusiasm for clinical pharmacy, and for supporting the development of others through teaching. This role is an important element in the partnership between Auckland DHB Pharmacy department and the School of Pharmacy, Auckland University.

As one of two Clinical Tutors, you will be responsible for contributing your clinical practise expertise and knowledge to the undergraduate pharmacy programme at Auckland University. Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential, as training and coaching will be available to develop your teaching skills.

Within the DHB you will be part of the Education, Training and Research Practice team, bringing your clinical teaching and supervision skills to supporting the on-going development of pharmacists and students in the workplace. You will have a clinical commitment to a specified group of patients, and as a senior member of the department you will be self-motivated, flexible and able to work collaboratively.

As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

- A commitment to biculturalism
- A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
- BPharm or other recognised pharmacy qualification
- Registered, or be eligible to register, as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand
- At least 3 years of experience in hospital pharmacy
- Evidence of relevant practice of clinical pharmacy
- Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills

Our Pharmacy department is an innovative and exciting place to work. We employ over 100 staff including those working within two retail pharmacies, Aseptic Production Unit and a flagship inpatient service. We serve over 1200 inpatient beds.
