**Mō te tūranga | About the role**
- Participate in the development of catchment management work programmes, plans and budgets.
- Plan, supervise and deliver specific catchment management projects including erosion control, plant pest control and riparian enhancement.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, Iwi, community representatives and ratepayers.
- Provide ongoing advice and information.
- Taupo based position. Permanent, Full-time.

**Mō te tangata | About you**
- Developing project/contract management skills.
- Proven success at building relationships and resolving issues with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated computer literacy.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, handle difficult clients and build strong client relationships.
- Able to operate outside of ‘normal’ working hours from time to time.
- Have an interest in working in different locations around a beautiful region.
- Enjoy working outside, good level of fitness. Organised and self-motivated.

**Mō ngā pūkenga | Qualifications and experience**
- A relevant tertiary qualification and preferably a minimum of 3 years work experience.
- Experience in erosion control, including, a practical understanding of land use capability, land management and natural resource management.
- Experience in managing and delivering restoration projects, including weed control, native planting, and maintenance requirements.
- Knowledge of farm systems and experience in producing environmentally focussed property or restoration plans.
- Proven track record in collaborative work and building partnerships with landowners, iwi and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and planning skills.
