**Ko te kaupapa | About the role**

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in Theatre Services on a fixed term, 6 month contract.

The successful applicant will be required to work rostered shifts with an on-call component.

Duties will be focused around assisting the Registered Nurses to support the delivery of patient care, maintaining a safe, pleasant and functional environment. You will also be keeping the Theatre Services clean and tidy, directing enquiries, making beds and restocking supplies.

- have strong communication skills and a good command of written and spoken English.
- Be independent and able to use your own initiative is imperative.
- Understand the need for maintaining the highest levels of hygiene throughout Theatre Services - this is crucial.
- A minimum qualification of ACE level 2 or equivalent is required.
