An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right person to join our established Company in the role of dispatch and support, with the opportunity to support our Mainfreight Christchurch team in multiple areas.

We are looking for a team player who is self-motivated and eager to help our drivers, with a willingness to learn and progress within our tight-knit team. You will need to have a good head on your shoulders and be able to use it to make sound and smart decisions when required.

Day to day responsibilities could include:

- Liaising with team and drivers
- Accurately checking and dispatching freight
- Working with your team to safely handle our customer's freight

Ideally, you will have:

- Good communication skills
- Have a sound knowledge of the Christchurch Metropolitan area
- Dispatch experience preferred
- A ‘can do’ work ethic, including a high standard of customer service
- A sharp eye for detail and accuracy
- The ability to Thrive under pressure
- Creative problem solver
- Ability to learn and work in a team environment
- Physically fit and healthy
