We have a great opportunity for an experienced dietitian to join our close knit and innovative outpatient team. Our team is responsible for the nutritional management of clients and families with chronic diseases such as diabetes, renal disease, bariatric surgery and obesity. This role will suit someone who has previous experience working with people with diabetes including type 1, young adults and those who are pregnant.

The ideal applicant is self-motivated and enjoys working in a flexible and challenging environment, has great verbal and written interpersonal skills, able to think outside the box, efficient in time management, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a strong quality-focussed team. You will also be involved with dietetic student training and encouraged to participate in service development and project work.

Employment package includes the refund of your annual practicing certificate, support towards the cost your Dietitians New Zealand subscription and a personal study allowance. We provide and support regular professional development opportunities, practice review, performance development planning and regular professional supervision.

**Essential**:

- BCapSc or BSc, and Post Grad Dip Diet or MSc Dietetics (or equivalent as recognised by the NZ Dietitians Board)
- NZRD with current annual practicing certificate
- 2-3 years clinical experience, with knowledge and experience of dietetic practice in diabetes
- An ability to relate and communicate clearly on difficult and complex matters with a range of healthcare professionals, patients, and dietetic colleagues
- Cultural awareness and understanding
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic

- Experience with professional supervision
