Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Child Development Service is seeking to appoint a qualified Allied Health professional into the position of Pathway Coordinator. We are looking for a person with strong clinical knowledge and skills, with experience within a Child Development Service and a pro-equity approach highly desirable.
This is a full time position, based at the Puketiro Centre, but the applicant would need to be available to work on all Child Development sites across the region (Wellington to Kapiti).
The Pathway Coordinator oversees and coordinates the clinical pathway of referrals to the Child Development Service by collating and triaging referral information and ensuring referrals are appropriately managed within the team. This role holds a primary health/education/community liaison function and has a strong in-put into service development and planning initiatives. Team work and working collaboratively with medical and allied health professionals is essential.

CDS is a multi-disciplinary team providing specialist developmental assessments and interventions for children who have, or are at risk of, an intellectual, sensory or physical disability and children with an autism spectrum disorder. We use a holistic approach to enable children with disabilities to reach their maximum potential within their families and extended environment.
Moū - About you
You will be skilled in recognising and upholding the mana of tamariki and whānau who use our service. You will have strong leadership and communication skills.
You will demonstrate advanced understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, its relationship to health, and the ways in which this role and our service can contribute to equitable outcomes for Māori pēpī, tamariki, rangitahi, and their whānau.
This role is suited to someone how understands the local, district, regional and national context of Child Development Service provision and is driven to improve service delivery towards an equitable and sustainable future.
