You will be part of our dedicated Customer Service team who are essentially the face of the NPDL, continuing to improve and enhance the customer experience. You will interact with all functions of NPDL to ensure the smooth and efficient processing of import and export services.
**Job Description**:
**What you will be doing**:
- Developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Preparing documentation including bookings, container releases, booking reports to third party vessel operators
- Managing the end-to-end process for coastal shipments and interisland bookings
- Organising local cartage and customs clearance if required by the shipper
- Ensuring shippers SLI have been sent to e-Docs and ensure that the bookings match
- Ensuring bookings have been correctly auto rated prior to handing over to Documentation team
- Attending Sales calls with key account clients as per call plan
- Creating and submitting CBF and Customs Outward Cargo Report as needed
- For Key Customers, arranging empty containers truck out and full in
- Sending accurate and timely preliminary load list and final load list to vessel planners
- Once vessel sailed, reconciling the load list and providing the finalised load list to the Export
- Cargo Readiness - ensuring approvals are received (DG and BBK OOG), empty containers uplifted, cargo in port for loading
- Arranging late receivals
- Ensuring all outbound manifests are processed in a timely manner meeting the KPI’s
- Reconciling and match completed load list against completed manifest after vessel sailed
- Ensuring all Key Account documentation is received, correctly processed and invoiced within the set KPI
- Checking that all Exports have CEDOS lodged prior to vessel cut off
- Coordinating and submit the Customs Outward Cargo Report per vessel voyage
- Handling general enquires from customers
- Other duties as required
**Qualifications**:
**Here’s what you’ll bring to the table**:
- 3 - 5 years shipping / freight experience in similar position
- Experience with CargoWise desirable
- Team player with a positive, customer-centric attitude
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective time management and planning skills
This role is based in Parnell. You will relish the opportunity to work hard and understand the importance of customers being a top priority. You will possess the ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in fast-paced environment. In addition, you will have demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to work to changing deadlines which is part and parcel of the industry. Multitasking and prioritizing your work will come naturally to you while you strive to meet customer’s needs.
