This newly available role sits within the Cyber Security Assurance team. Reporting to the Manager Cyber Security Assurance, this role is in a team that are a high functioning and who pride themselves on their team culture. This team is a place where our people are empowered to bring fresh perspectives to issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
This role is at its essence an entry level role within the Cyber Security industry, and we are keen to support applicants with building a career within this exciting and ever-expanding field.
**The Associate Cyber Security Architect**:
- Conducts security risk assessments across current and future ICT solutions using industry best practices to define and implement effective risk strategies
- Takes a business risk-based approach to the security of technology services through the planning and execution of relevant security certification and accreditation work
- Is responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of advice and practices in relation to their contribution to the team’s work

- Demonstrated experience in a role requiring interpersonal skills including the ability to build trusted relationships with a variety of stakeholders from different walks of life
- Some experience working within the Cyber Security industry (Highly desirable)
- Maintains an awareness of developments in the industry
- Ability to pick up new concepts with ease and adept critical thinking skills
- A good knowledge of risk frameworks and security risk management including knowledge of NZISM
- Sound knowledge of the mechanics of Government
