**The Role**

Simply by being vigilant, you will play a key role in the overall success of our store by ensuring that all property, merchandise, and personnel are maintained in a safe and secure environment. At the same time, you will be ensuring that Mitre 10 MEGA’s image is protected by delivering excellence in customer service and always acting in the best interests of the Company.

Responsible for checking receipts at the Timber Yard gate, attending to customers and being vigilant in spotting instances of theft, you will be working alongside the Customer Service, Security and Timber Yard departments.

A key accountability of this role is the reduction of shrinkage by promoting profit protection/loss prevention throughout the business. You will assist the Security Team in identifying profit protection issues and implementing effective countermeasures.

Day-to-day tasks include:

- Greeting and welcoming customers on entrance
- Assisting customers with their queries
- Checking receipts to confirm customer packages
- Keeping the Store Front orderly and tidy
- Ensuring that our customers have a fantastic shopping experience

You will be comfortable on your feet all day. Experience in timber and building products would be a distinct advantage.

This is a permanent, part time (21 hours per week) role - Sunday (8am to 3.30pm) and Monday-Tuesday (7am to 2.30pm).
