If you are passionate about working with researchers to access and use heritage pictorial collections, then we want to hear from you. The National Library of New Zealand - Te Puna Matauranga o Aotearoa has an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Research Librarian, Pictorial role. This is in the Research Enquiries Team, based in the Alexander Turnbull Library in Wellington.
- Assisting all researchers with their enquiries primarily using the collections of the National Library and Alexander Turnbull Library
- Clearing rights permission for requests to copy or use pictorial collection items
- Facilitating access to pictorial collections by creating pathways to information in the collections Essential education, skills, and experience for this role include:

- A tertiary Degree, preferably in New Zealand History, Law, Māori, Indigenous or Pacific studies and;
- A library qualification or equivalent in archival practice or museum studies
- An understanding of rights management, including cultural rights, licensing and New Zealand's Copyright Law
- Significant experience working with researchers and with the provision of research services from archival and special collections.We are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion.
