**He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role**

We have a great career opportunity for an experienced Registered Mental Health professional to lead our Acute Care Teams in the Bay of Plenty Mental Health and Addiction Service.

The Clinical Lead will support the four services of the Acute Care team; Crisis, Triage, Home based treatment & discharge support services. They will support and promote a positive team environment, provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team and participate in the day-to-day supervision to team members. It is expected that the Clinical Lead will work in collaboration with Acute Care Team Leader, maintaining a high clinical profile and a visible presence to guide and support staff in relation to direct clinical service provision.

This a new Clinical Lead position, and the successful applicant will be able to grow this leadership role to suit their style. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership experience and lead a new team that strives to work from a strengths-based approach where Whaiora and their whānau remain at the centre of all we do.

You will need to be able to support and mentor your team to work collaboratively with other services, agencies, healthcare professionals to ensure outcomes for clients are met.

We are looking for someone with skills in leadership, who enjoys inspiring others to be the best they can be. Your key strengths will be your commitment to excellence and ability to coach and mentor staff to support their practice development.

To be successful in this role you will be:

- A Registered Health Professional (Mental Health included on Scope of Practice) with a current annual practising certificate and a minimum of 5 years' postgraduate experience in mental health and addictions.
- Able to demonstrate clinical expertise in mental health and addictions and the ability to positively influence service development.
- Able to establish effective relationships, and able to draw on these strengths to work in partnership with service users and whānau, colleagues, and a wide range of community services.
