Our client is a reputable migration consultancy specialising in assisting Cambodian and Southeast Asian clients with their migration journeys in New Zealand and Australia. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships with their clients through every stage of their migration process.
**About the Role**
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented **Migration Assistant** to join their team. The role will commence as part-time, with the potential to transition to full-time based on performance and business needs. You will play a pivotal part in managing the end-to-end process for their clients, ensuring a smooth and professional experience from initial contact to outcome.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Client Screening and Management**:
- Screen clients to understand their needs and determine if services can assist them.
- Set appointments for consultations (preferably face-to-face) with the migration agent.
- Gather initial documents and information for pre-consultation.
**Application Support and Coordination**:
- Send out contracts, ensuring clients sign and all necessary documents are prepared.
- Collect remaining documents and issue receipts upon payment.
- Ensure all documents and tasks are logged in the calendar, including follow-ups.
**Post-Outcome Client Engagement**:
- Schedule follow-ups with clients at 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year to maintain relationships and explore further services.
**Marketing and Awareness**:
- Organise seminars and awareness campaigns for the Cambodian community in New Zealand.
- Assist in marketing initiatives, including social media and community outreach.
**Skills and Experience**
**Migration Knowledge**:
- Strong understanding of migration processes and pathways, particularly for New Zealand and Australia.
- Experience as a temporary migrant (e.g., holding a student visa) is an advantage.
**Client and Business Skills**:
- Strong business ethics and initiative.
- Marketing or business background preferred.
**Language Proficiency**:
- Fluent in Cambodian (Khmer): reading, writing, and speaking.
- Must have an IELTS score of 7 or above (or equivalent English proficiency).
**Other Requirements**:
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Proficiency in managing appointments, follow-ups, and client interactions.
