Do you have experience in the Resource Management Act? Do you want a role where the results and success of your work are evident in every facet of city life?

We're looking for someone who is methodical, accurate and proactive to support the administration of one of New Zealand's largest district plans and resource consent process. You will also be customer focused with excellent communication skills to provide senior administrative services to the consenting process for a range of the Council's regulatory functions for the Planning & Consents.

You will be a part of a high performing and experienced Development Support team. Your role will be to ensure we are regularly updating the district plan, notifying plan changes, recording submissions and overseeing the hearings process

In this senior role, you will monitor team members' workloads, allocation of work to ensure statutory timeframes are met and achievement of Key Performance Indicators. You'll need to be able to work under pressure, responding to changing priorities with tight deadlines. Other responsibilities include responding promptly to LGOIMAs, invoicing and payments, data reporting and contributing to process improvements.

You will have several years' experience in this type of work, and a tertiary qualification in resource management, law or public administration. Your background will include being in a process orientated position that allows your passion and skill for high level administration functions to be prevalent. Strong computer literacy skills, advanced Microsoft word and excel skills are essential,, as well as some experience undertaking or assisting in team leadership.
