Processing Team Leader

You might recognise this role as a Charge Hand - the roles are very similar. Day to day, you are there to support our high performing processing team who are responsible for parcel and mail sorting at our Invercargill based processing centre.
Reporting to the Area Manager, you'll lead the team in accordance with NZ Post's values and vision as well as managing resources within the operational needs and budget for the Processing area.
You will need to be the type of person who takes a hands-on approach, demonstrating a commitment to safety and fostering a high performing, positive team culture. You might be in a similar role and considering a change, or you may have been told that you are ready and able to step up into a supervisory position.

**What we need from you**:

- Be available to work Tuesday to Friday 4.30am - 1.15pm and Saturday 4.30am - midday (although some flexibility is required with start/finish times on occasion to engage with the PM Processing Team)
- Leadership skills, with a focus on being able to mentor, guide and develop the team
- Have a clean and valid full New Zealand driver's license and forklift license (or be prepared to get one)
- Demonstrate confident computer skills
- Show a solid understanding of logistics management
- Have an understanding of National transport network
- Have knowledge of Dangerous goods handling and processing
- Have a strong understanding and focus on Safety and Wellness
