Agriculture & Investment Services works to create a thriving and sustainable future for farmers, growers, primary industries, and rural communities. It also cares for the health and well-being of animals. We work across MPI and with other agencies to support innovative farm land use practices that deliver more value and improved environmental outcomes. The Investment Programmes Directorate works across the value chain from the farm-gate through to finished products and we have supported a number of initiatives and research programmes in New Zealand using our suite of funding products.
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are looking for a Programme Coordinator & Analyst to join the Investment Programmes Directorate. You will be delivering investment through Sustainable Food & Fibre Futures (SFF Futures), which supports problem-solving and innovation in New Zealand's food and fibre sectors.
You will be working closely with the Climate Change and Community Funds teams to support their work to plan, document and identify risks and opportunities.
Your ability to foster relationships and support key staff within the Investment Programmes Directorate will be an important success criteria for this role.

**Within this role, your responsibilities would include**:

- Provide day-to
- day co-ordination support to Investment Programmes' funds, particularly community and climate change funds - get hands on with key issues the sector is facing.
- Project coordination for strategic projects - get involved in key ministry-wide initiatives.
- Secretariat support for panel meetings - support senior decision-making processes.
- Project coordination for programme evaluations - want to be able to see tangible

You will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of other interesting topics across the Investment Programmes Directorate.
Skills and Experience

**We are looking for the following skills and experience**:

- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Highly experienced in spreadsheet and data management.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and management skills.
- Provision of secretariat function.

You will be working in the Business and Support team within the Investment Programmes Directorate. This team provides supporting services to the funding teams within the directorate and is key to ensuring consistent measures, templates and processes are utilised across the directorate as well as supporting funding rounds and other various funding activities. You will be a crucial part of the team to identify areas of improvement across the Directorate and support the various funding programmes with their funding activities.
