The **Junior Test Automation Engineer** position is based in our Research and Development Centre located in Wigram, Christchurch.

This vacancy is within our Test Automation Team, where you will work within a small team to develop and maintain automated test software for our micro-inverter products. Test Automation is key to the success of our hardware development program; the quality of our automated test systems directly affect our product quality and time to market.

**Role/Duties**:

- Develop new tests and tools (with Python) to support development and test of cutting-edge inverter designs
- Write code to control our ever-growing range of test equipment: grid simulators, solar array simulators, battery simulators, precision power meters, oscilloscopes, AC load banks
- Write code to auto-generate reports from big data sets (using pandas and python-docx)
- Support & train our hardware development team on automated tools.
- Share knowledge through code review (as both committer and reviewer)

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Experience using Python
- Experience interfacing with embedded systems
- Basic knowledge of power electronics concepts

**Qualifications and Previous Experience**:

- BS/MS Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
