Our Buildings team in Auckland is growing so we are looking for a Structural Engineer to join us. The Building’s team includes engineers in the primary disciplines of Structural, Civil, Building Services and Façade engineering. The team delivers projects regionally and contributes to the Group’s growth in the ANZ region.
Our Building’s team uses the best that technology can offer in the design and delivery of elegant solutions. This includes a digital engineering approach to design and documentation, encompassing a suite of tools in an effective digital workflow. Tools include parametric processes, advanced analysis, BIM, construction staged analysis etc.
About the role:
- You will be working directly with a Design Engineer or other senior team members to carry out duties in accordance with company procedures and implement prescribed systems of work
- Responsible for the preparation of design documentation for review by senior members of the team
- Become aware of commercial matters including agreed fees/scope of services/programme.
- Attend with others design team/site meetings
- Comply with Group internal processes
- Responsible for development and production of drawings/calculations/specifications/reports
- Develop an ability in delivery in the 3D, BIM and Digital engineering environment
- Understand design philosophy/design fundamentals
- About you:
- A Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- An in-depth understanding of structural behaviour and engineering from first-principles
- Experience of New Zealand building standards and regulations
- Self-motivation, a willingness to learn, adapt and excel
- An interest in the ‘story’ of engineering projects
- Team player
