A Senior Recordkeeping Regulator is being sought to join Te Rua Māhara o Te Kāwanatanga | Archives NZ's Advice and Compliance team in the Government Recordkeeping Directorate at Te Tari Taiwhenua | Department of Internal Affairs.
At Te Rua Māhara we work to ensure effective, trusted government recordkeeping for the benefit of all New Zealanders. Our goals is to support the Government in the proper management of its information and to ensure all New Zealanders can access this taonga, connecting them to their rights, entitlements, and stories - now and for the future.
We are seeking applicants with information management, regulatory experience and some leadership experience as a senior within the Advice and Compliance team.
For this role we would expect applicants to have previous experience or knowledge of one or more of the following areas:
- Information management, regulatory environments, or archival practice
- communicating complex information in a clear and concise manner (in both written and oral contexts)
- the development and functions of the government sector
- working in and leading in a team environment

Enterprise Partnerships cover a range of entities, functions or institutions. Today these currently include the National Library, Archives New Zealand, Ministerial Services, and the Gambling Commission. Each 'enterprise' has its own unique kaupapa, and through its 'partnership' with Te Tari Taiwhenua, will be supported to achieve their goals. The nature of each partnership will depend on the goals and needs of the entity.
