**The opportunity**
We plan, design and manage projects to transform our communities across Aotearoa, Australia, the Pacific and South East Asia. Our Transport and Infrastructure team in Aotearoa of over 500 people work across roads, rail, airports, and land development market sectors and are well placed to help Aotearoa advance and protect our world for future generations.

Through our existing engagements with both Waka Kotahi and local authority clients, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Asset Engineer/Manager to join our team in Tauranga. This is a key role within the team with leadership responsibilities. You’ll be part of our road asset management team who delivers asset management planning, analysis, forward works programming, pavement design, asset data collection surveys, asset database management and asset valuations for roading and other transportation assets.

You will lead the delivery of several of our road asset management professional service contracts. Working closely with our clients you’ll provide trusted advice to support them with the effective and efficient management of their assets. This includes operational and strategic asset management planning as well as risk management. As a senior member of the team, you will also be supporting the business development of the road asset management team and the wider transport and infrastructure business and the technical growth and development of more junior members of the team.

**About you**

You are an experienced professional in infrastructure asset management at a strategic and operational level. You are known for your problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and laterally to make effective recommendations. Proven ability in delivering a quality product to the client’s satisfaction whilst managing client and stakeholder expectations and perceptions.

You will have can work and influence a wide group of people across all levels of organisations and be someone who embraces challenges, promotes innovation and leads with a mindset of continual improvement. You love to learn and share knowledge and someone who can bring a fresh perspective to ensure the development of the people around them and who constantly seeks better practice for the overall quality of our work and our client experience.

Some travel is required as part of this role, as such a full and clean drivers’ licence is essential.
