Hospital and Specialist Dentistry service (HSD ) is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Dental Technician or Clinical Dental Technician to join their team as a Lead Dental Technician, the key purpose of the role is to provide effective coordination and leadership to our small team of dental technicians and clinical dental technicians, including being responsible for the allocation of technical jobs and the quality of technical work ensuring turnaround times are met. This is your opportunity to develop a productive and engaged workforce which will, in turn, improve the patient experience. You will be accountable for clinical supervision and oversight of Dental Technicians and Clinical Dental Technicians and play an integral part of HSD clinical team to manage dental technician workforce to ensure optimal utilisation of resources.
This is a permanent, full time role, based at Middlemore Hospital

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**
- Minimum of 2 years as a dental technician or clinical dental technician working with large teams in a busy and complex environment
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in dental technology (or equivalent) and a current Annual Practicing certificate with the Dental Council of New Zealand.
- Sound knowledge of safety and compliance guidelines in a hospital setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good relationship management skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a multidisciplinary work environment
