Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Dental Assistants to join our team in the newly developed role of Dental Assistant Supervisor. The key purpose of these roles is to provide effective operational management, coordination and leadership to dental assistants and support towards the delivery of high quality, comprehensive dental and surgical treatment for our patients in both the Auckland Regional Hospital and Specialist Dentistry Service (HSD) and Auckland Regional Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service (OMS). These services support patient care in multiple locations - Greenlane Clinical Centre, Middlemore Hospital, Auckland Hospital, Starship Hospital, Buckland Road Community Clinic, Waitakere Hospital and Quay Park Surgical Centre and you will be accountable for clinical supervision and oversight of DAs across these sites.
This role will work towards continuously improving the team to ensure that timely patient access to services is achieved, as well as ensuring that our infection prevention and control meets compliance. The Dental Assistant Supervisor provides chairside dental assistance as part of this role.

These are permanent, full time roles, primarily based at Greenlane Clinical Centre for HSD or Middlemore Hospital for OMS
This is an exciting and challenging role where you will be able to show how your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills deliver clear expectations to all staff across multiple sites. You will also provide training support for the service patient record software (Titanium) and seek continuous improvement of this system and of the service. This is a rewarding opportunity to develop a productive and engaged workforce which will, in turn, improve the patient experience.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
Applicants with leadership and clinical supervisory experience will have preference. Proficiency working with Titanium - patient management system is an advantage.
