Full time Counter Manager required to manage the day-to-day operation of our instore Vodafone counter at Aelia Duty Free - Queenstown Airport.

As part of a broader retail team, your focus will be to deliver professional and commercially astute support to our customers for their telecommunications requirements ensuring both efficiency and compliance with all laws, regulations and rules, whilst supporting general store activities.

You will be expected to lead and coach our brand ambassadors, ensuring they are up-to-date on all required product knowledge and exceed customer expectations, delivering an unforgettable Vodafone brand experience.

You will work closely with your team to collaborate, support and share ideas, contributing to sales success and repeat business.

**To be operationally effective in this unique role, you will need**:

- Experience in a similar role with telecommunications, ideally in a fast-paced retail / customer service environment
- Sound knowledge of telecommunications product and compliance requirements
- Sound ability to coach, develop, motivate and manage a team
- Highly developed communication & interpersonal skills
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to drive and achieve sales by optimising opportunities
- Commercial acumen and ability to perform cost-benefit analysis on potential customers
- A professional approach and outstanding presentation
- Initiative, ambition and a sense of urgency

When you are not engaged in core Counter Manager duties, you will support our retail team with general team member duties including customer service, general retail admin and ensuring store presentation standards are maintained at all times.

As we're located in a dynamic airport environment we operate outside typical business hours 7 days a week and a degree of flexibility will be required to ensure our Vodafone counter and store rosters are covered adequately. Expectations and availability will be discussed at interview.
