Wharf Assistant

Are you a confident coordinator with customer service experience' Are you looking to change up your office view to a beautiful bay on New Zealands best Island' Look no further, we may have the role for you

Were looking for a new Wharf Assistant to help us through the busy summer months. This is a varied role that will see you providing information and making bookings on Island activities and excursions, checking in passengers as required and providing all-round support for the ferries coming in and leaving the island. Youll be the first and last person our visitors see so this is your opportunity to make a lasting impression

**As part of this role you will also**:

- Provide forklift services
- Assist with the management of freight items
- Ensure equipment is operating and maintained
- Comply with maritime safety regulations

**We are looking for someone who has**:

- Forklift Licence would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills
- Duty Manager Certificate, Dangerous Good Licence and a QDC would be beneficial
- Be flexible andopen to be adaptable across other roles
