**THE ROLE**

We are looking for experienced Laboratory Technicians who can demonstrate and maintain a high level of integrity in their work, enjoy developing their technical skills and those of others, and have the proven ability to identify and assist with implementing operational efficiencies.

These are permanent roles working 40 hours per week as per the laboratory team roster. This may include evening and weekend work in order to provide supervision to the team, so will also be a great opportunity for anyone wanting to expand their leadership skills.

**KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Conducting lab operational duties to ensure efficient ongoing delivery of a quality analytical service to our clients
- Working closely with the extended team and the Analytical Technology group
- Participating constructively in detailed quality system activities including Audits & Method Investigations
- Instrument and method troubleshooting
- Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment
- Sound understanding and demonstration of ISO 17025 guidelines

**ABOUT YOU**
- Have a tertiary qualification in science or relevant discipline
- Minimum 2 years laboratory experience, preferably in a commercial laboratory
- Practical and theoretical chemistry or microbiology knowledge
- Experience of instrumental analytical techniques (LC MS/MS advantageous)
- Working knowledge of laboratory data analysis software
- Self-motivated, disciplined and able to work effectively (individually and within a team environment)
- Excellent time management, communication and organisational skills
- Good attention to detail and excellent computer skills
- Be able to develop new ideas and provide a solution to problems
