**About the role**

UGLs Manufacturing & Maintenance business have an exciting opportunity for a customer focused Wagon Service Technician or Engineer to work with our customer on the roll out and commissioning of our CFT wagons in Auckland. This role is a permanent full time opportunity working Monday - Friday with adhoc travel required with in New Zealand, vehicle provided with this role.

The role will be the main contact for our customer on the operation and performance of the UGL supplied Container Flat Top (CFT) wagons operating in New Zealand during introduction into service and throughout the defect liability period.

This role will be responsible for;
- The review of all defect and warranty related notices from the customer and instigate repair processes as required.
- Manage the customer interaction on the operation and performance of the UGL supplied CFT wagons.
- Be the first point of contact for any warranty claims and part requirements
- Produce a monthly report on the performance of the wagons against the contract Key Performance Indicators.
- Review all warranty claims and defect notices with the applicable KiwiRail representative and agree on required actions.
- Ensure compliance with all record keeping requirements.
- Undertake any adhoc projects, initiatives, tasks as directed by the Warranty Manager.

**About you**
- Mechanical trade or engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience with the maintenance and operation of all types of rail wagons or other rolling stock experience is required
- Strong problem solving skills and professional, responsive, insightful and decisive decision making skills.
- A high level of business and commercial acumen.
