**The Central Interceptor is a wastewater tunnel that will run between the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant and Grey Lynn. Watercare Services Ltd. (Watercare) is constructing a new wastewater pump station at the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Mangere Wastewater Pump Station (MPS) comprises significant mechanical and electrical installation; it is critical to Watercare’s wastewater operations in Auckland.**

**What you will be doing**:
Based at the Mangere Pump Station site you will report to the Senior Project Engineer Electrical (SPE) and will assist the SPE to;
- Plan, organise, direct, control, coordinate and manage the construction of the Electrical and Instrumentation work
- Provide quality assurance inspection/testing and construction completion/handover documentation.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Key responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following.
- Input to detailed construction planning, development of construction methodologies, subcontractor management, and technical support necessary to ensure timely delivery of the project within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Electrical subcontract administration
- Progress / cost reporting
- Construction completion documentation review/close out/compilation for handover to the GAJV Commissioning Manager
- Provision of technical planning and assistance to the GAJV Commissioning Team
- Proactive participation in a project team to achieve the CI Project goals
- Completion of the work with zero harm to staff, the public, and the environment.
- Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Proven project/construction management experience in M&E project execution
- Strong background in subcontractor management
- Technical experience and understanding of E&I construction including HV and LV power control and reticulation, control systems, and general instrumentation installation and commissioning.
- A strong understanding of best practice systems and H & S practices within New Zealand
- Experience in working closely and collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to develop optimised design solutions
