Regulation and Policy | Toi Hiranga branch contributes to supporting the safety, wellbeing and success of New Zealand communities, and provides advice and support to our Ministers in Government.
We are a vibrant and positive team working with official correspondence across multiple Ministerial portfolios. Your can-do attitude and your political acumen will be highly valued.
This role is at the heart of transparent and open government. Sitting in the Ministerial Advice Team, the Advisor delivers Official Information Act requests, ministerial replies, parliamentary questions, event briefings, and status reports.
The Ministerial Advice Team in the Ministerial, Monitoring, and Capability Group covers Crown entity monitoring and statutory appointments, management of the Private Secretaries, business support, and navigational safety on Lake Taupō, as well as spanning official correspondence across multiple ministerial portfolios.

**You will have**:

- Experience in in writing official correspondence
- An understanding of the machinery of government, how Ministers work, and how to work with Ministers' offices
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- An ability to identify and effectively mitigate risks
- Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to work at all levels of an organisation
- Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast
- paced environment
