**About the Role**

Associate Charge Nurse Manager ( ACNM) roles are essential in creating partnerships with Māori across all levels including tāngata whaiora, whānau, Māori staff and the Kaitakawaenga team, and supporting our non
- Māori staff to work together in reducing inequity.

The ACNM is a key senior role within the team responsible for providing leadership and support to staff, tāngata whaiora and whānau, working in close collaboration with the Charge Nurse Manager (CNM).

**Responsibilities of the role**:

- Support the CNM to build and maintain a high performing team that upholds the culture, values, mission and vision of the service.
- Engage and work collaboratively with all stakeholders, particularly tāngata whaiora and whānau.
- Support the CNM to manage ward quality and risk programmes.
- Support the pursuit of Māori health gains as well as achieving equitable health outcomes for Māori.

**About the Team**

Ward 34 is a 20 bedded unit within the Henry Rongomau Bennett centre that provides 24 hour care to tāngata whaiora experiencing acute mental illness. It’s the perfect time to join our team. We have a brand new facility being built which will be ready for occupancy in 2026; you will get to work in a state of the art purpose built facility, where we aim to be delivering a service which is culturally led and clinically underpinned.

**About you**
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- A Registered Nurse with 2 years or more of demonstrated clinical experience in an acute mental health setting.
- Experience in a leadership role is an advantage.
