Fresh Choice Geraldine is a busy and successful locally owned supermarket servicing the humming village of Geraldine and its surrounds in beautiful South Canterbury. They were named Fresh Choice Overall Store of the Year 2021 at the Fresh Choice Super Value Excellence awards in November and are proud of this recognition during what has been a challenging time for all.

Now due to growth, they need a Produce Assistant to join their high-performing team and provide their valued customers with consistently top-quality products.

Your responsibilities will be centred around the fresh produce area, and you will take great pride in presenting a beautiful and enticing array of fruits and vegetables. Your friendly manner will encourage customers to chat about the products on offer, and you will take pleasure in helping customers with their varied requirements.

Also key is maintaining a clean, tidy, and hygienic shopping environment for your loyal customer base, so you will carry out cleaning and sanitising as required.

You will receive goods into the produce department from suppliers, ensuring quality standards are adhered to.

And to make sure that only the best fresh produce is on display for sale, you will rotate stock and manage stock levels.

A good level of physical fitness is a must for this role, as is top-notch personal presentation and a love of customer service excellence.
