**Anglican Care Waiapu (ACW), is the social services arm of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu. Our services and programmes in the Bay of Plenty, Tairāwhiti, Hawke’s Bay and Tararua support tamariki, whānau, and communities with early childhood education, family support, grief services, and older people programmes.**
Tararua Community Services is a community-connected social service with offices in Dannevirke, Pahiatua and Woodville. We provide social work, whānau support, parenting programmes, maternity support, youth mentoring, group programmes, safer seniors services and counselling to help people take positive action in their lives.
As a key member of the Counselling team your personality, professional skills and experience will add value and vibrancy to our service. You will have a style that people from all walks of life can easily relate to and your energy for supporting positive change will be evident. Therefore, you must have a natural ability to form strong and meaningful relationships which is underpinned by your passion for contributing to a great team culture and building wider community connection.
You will enjoy being part of a busy team environment where there is the opportunity to share ideas and support each other, across a range of disciplines. As well as offering individual counselling sessions, you will have the ability to facilitate group programmes when needed.
**Key Requirements;**
- Bachelors level qualification in Counselling that is recognised in Aotearoa/NZ
- Membership (or provisional membership) to NZCCA, NZAC or DAPAANZ
- Relevant employment experience in a Counselling role
- A proven practice history
- Evidence of leadership skills and qualities
- Experience working in a bicultural and/or multi-cultural context
- An affinity with the mission and values of Anglican Care Waiapu
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- NZ Full Drivers Licence
