**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**
Reporting to the Building Maintenance Supervisor, the key purpose of this role is to ensure that our venues are in the best possible condition, functionality and appearance so they can be enjoyed by the residents and visitors of Auckland.
Under the direction of the Building Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager, our Technicians deliver the technical and operational services required to ensure that Tātaki Auckland Unlimited renews and maintains its assets and facilities for visitors, staff and performers in a safe and sustainable manner.
The Technicians are responsible for constructing new assets as well as undertaking a broad range of planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on all property assets.
This position is a hands-on role. The nature of the business is that our venues operate 24/7. As such, occasional out of hour’s response and attendance will be necessary.

This opportunity will suit someone who has excellent organisational abilities, communication skills and is proactive in nature.
You will have the ability to:
- Carry out general maintenance repairs and services
- Maintain the workshop and plantrooms and ensure all maintenance completed is of the highest standard
- While work is being completed, ensuring there is mínimal disruption to the general operation of the building, within the allotted time frames and within budget
- Ensuring you are accurately and consistently recording and updating the work that has been completed along with the necessary documentation
