Senior Adviser Organisational Development, People and Capability

We have an exciting opportunity to you to make your mark in shaping how MPI develops its leadership capability. You will bring thought leadership, design expertise and implementation management to develop our leaders and strengthen talent and capability across this large and complex public service organisation.
The role is part of a supportive and collaborative team focused on creating an engaging, safe and inclusive culture. This role will provide expert advice and support on leadership and capability development and have opportunity to help us increase our representation of Māori and Pasifika across all leadership levels.
The main area of responsibility is to support the development and delivery of programmes and initiatives. Our programmes are a mix of internal and external delivery. Accountabilities will include:
- Design and facilitation of specific leadership programmes/forums
- Programme management of specific programmes (including relationship management, engaging with providers, participants, evaluation of initiatives)
- Build and/or manage complementary capability and development options for thought leaders and individuals across MPI (not just people leaders)

You will have organisational development experience in a large and/or complex organisation in several of these areas:
- leadership development and talent management
- organisational culture, team development and performance management
- diversity and inclusion
- experience of working, and awareness of priorities, in the NZ public service
- up-to-date knowledge of research and trends in organisational development
- experience of working to support public service organisations to meet their obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi
